i'm really bad I think if you know the background of an actor/actresss it enriches the viewing experience. And i find it interesting reading them.

ahhhh! i’m american :( hahaha. no i agree with that on some level…it’s esp interesting when i know what sort of personal history/anguish/etc an actor was able to bring to a role (like jane’s mother’s suicide to klute, mary tyler moore’s son’s death to ordinary people, etc) because that makes the effort, and the finished product, so much more admirable

oh my gosh i want to read that SO badly! how much did you get it for? i wonder how much it is on amazon…tbh this will sound so weird but i feel sort of whoreish reading any celeb autobiographies (save for fonda’s which i honestly, genuinely think qualifies as literature due to how much knowledge and strength from her lifetime she is able to communicate so eloquently). tell me how it is!

I love your post about putting Jane Fonda in your political views so much.
That's one of the reasons I respect her so much. She stood for what she believed in and fought for it, and to be an incredible two-time academy award winner is like, beyond words.
She's a god.
aw ty bb! she really is so amazing to me, like it’s so hard to even describe. i think it’s disgusting when people use her as a scapegoat and like blame the war’s outcome on her. not only is it absurd, but it really reveals a sort of sexism that’s still in our society. there are so many misconceptions about what she did during the war that are still floating around and it makes me sick. she’s so fucking brave and honest; i mean, for someone in her privileged position to come out and speak against the war requires so much strength. but i have so much to say about her politics, stop meeeee
and gosh i know, to top it all off she’s like one of america’s greatest actresses ever. i still think her win for klute is the best the best actress category has ever had. ugh she’s amazing…tbh do you like vanessa redgrave? she and jane are like such controversial political activists it seems and i love them both sfm
